Hello,

It may happen that the "socket" is not opened correctly. Just close the app completely or restart the smartphone to resolve this issue.

If despite this you still have no reading on the screen, there is a good chance that it is the OBDII adapter that does not match the vehicle.

Before telling you this is this OBDII adapter and not another, we will explain a little to the electronic history of Chrysler. For connoisseurs, this is very rude to remain understandable and especially not to have 4 pages.

Chrysler (Mopar) used brand-specific electronic systems from 1995 to 2007 to communicate with the modules (CCD).

However, starting in 1998, Chrysler gradually integrated the J1850 VPW standard, which was used only by them. This is why the "standard" ODBII or more precisely ISOxxxxx modules do not work.

Then, from 2008, Chrysler abandoned the J1850 VPW in favor of CAN which is now widely used by all manufacturers.

Unfortunately for owners of Chrysler before 2008. The official DRBIII is increasingly difficult to find.

We arrived communicated with Town & Country 2001-2007 using the J1850 protocol but it does not give access to everything. Certain programming functions and certain ECUs are still in CCD and to date, we cannot read them.

This does not prevent thanks to a trick that we have to be able to read the DTCs of these modules in CCD from 2001 in EU and 1998 in the US. But unfortunately we cannot have all the engine functions for the Town & Country V6 from 2001 to 2003 and the CRDs. Only the main information appears in real time monitoring (turbo pressure, injection, TPS sensor, battery voltage, ETC ...).

So we come to the importance of choosing the right ODBII adapter.

To guarantee proper operation, a fully compatible and good quality J1850VPW adapter is required so that there is no frame error (electronic language) and above all that the reading speed corresponds well to that of the vehicle.

Only the ELM327 adapter from ELM https://boutique.elm327.fr/accueil/2-interface-elm327-bluetooth.html
And the adapter from ODBlink https://www.obdlink.com/mxp/ or https://www.obdlink.com/lxbt/

Are 100% compatible with CDRBeThree. Any other adapter used can cause read or even use failures.

To imagine, when we speak Russian to English, French does not understand anything. But if everyone speaks English, everyone understands it. Our software therefore makes it possible to read the information of the car in its language by the ODBII adapter to transcribe it in French or in English according to your version of CDRBeThree and to be able to diagnose your Town & Country.

You now know why it is important to choose the right adapter for Chrysler.
